Is there anything in particular you all look for other than the usual mission statement, market analysis, comps, exit strategies, etc that instills confidence in the person you're investing with?

I feel like I picked a difficult first mission!

If you are on a scouting mission for business purposes you can write it off I believe.I am not an accountant but 90% sure of this.

It was a 1BR/1BA condo on Ranch Mission Rd., near Jack Murphy stadium way back when Dan Fouts was the Chargers QB!

We happen to stumble upon the idea of REI through friends of ours who own 3 rent houses in the area and the more we investigated the possibility, the more acquaintances we found that do it, and the more we saw that it felt our lifestyle and life goals (to be financially independent and able to do missions work). 

Interested in flipping, wholesaling and renting single family homes, multi family homes as well as large multi family(5+)I currently have a friend(no, he's not my only friend) who may be interested in being a private money lender for me and I currently am acquiring one of my dads duplexes due to the bad debt he has.I'd like to meet anyone and also have someone volunteer in a suicidal mission to mentor me

When you have a good deal, it will give you confidence that you are on a mission to provide a valuable service for people to earn a great return on their money that they probably would not find elsewhere.
