I just finished reading Dirt Rich and it's peaked my interest in the possibilities of land investment. 

To your point, I will use a realtor for the listings when the projects is finished.

Be sure you know what the timeframe is on the contractor and the finish work too! 

The subcontractor finished and did a fine job...but he took too long.

You know whether people like to live to the east or west side of town, or want a walkable neighborhood more than a car-focused living experience, or more house or nice finishes, then you will probably be fine in any of those markets.
