With this strategy, we knew exactly how each house was operating and we could intervene or change leadership of the house if necessary to assure operations were going as we expected. 

Between the pedestrian bridge and The Pearl, this area is expected to have huge growth in the next 10 years!

Realistically you would expect the house to continue to appreciate during that time as well... even if at 3.33% appreciation - that is another $50,000 in appreciation you would make in the 3 years - give or take.  

I'd love to hear your feedback on success or struggles and anything I should expect.

I responded back asking when to expect a response, which he did not answer.On 5/22 I requested funds again or I would be reporting him to legal authorities.

But if you aren't expecting that, it can be a shock when you first see it.  

@Tannia CastroRecommend exploring as many sources as possible to get referrals AND cross-reference them to get as much accurate information as possible.Check out NARPM.com, BP’s Property Manager Finder (BiggerPockets: The Real Estate Investing Social Network), etc.Also, encourage you to learn from the mistakes of others - by reading posts here on BiggerPockets about owners not having their expectations met by their current Property Management Company.

Also know that building a home seldom goes as expected - I have relatives that just built a nicer house… they thought it would take 9 months… it literally took 18-24 months between delays in permitting and the builder just not being able to get it done in a timely manner - often due to sub-contractor issues.  

Have you had any issues with Plastiq taking longer than expected to send out a check?

The allure of fat cash flow (at least on paper) and the low barrier of entry (down payment) never stop attracting new investors.
