Vivian C foreigner investing in U.S, what are the tax issues?

When getting a loan in the U.S some countries you do not have to file taxes so lenders will require other sources of verification.Money laundering is also a big thing as the lenders will want to money sourced to make sure it is not linked to any terrorist or illegal activity. When my foreign clients are looking at commercial real estate and multifamily in the U.S. one of the downsides is that the investor needs a bunch of time to analyze a deal versus someone who is local and knows the areas.

It is a war, a virus that spreads that no antibiotic can handle, a president, a terrorist attack, anything can affect the stock market. So I like real estate investments, whether it be a private lender (owning real estate paper instead of stocks - mutual funds) or funding a real estate oriented business like a flipping business or a lease option assignment business.Just sayin', it's my retirement.

Meaning a drop of sand on a huge beach of need.I suspect those in lower socioeconomic areas will stay put, no need to move as long as Section-8 keeps a roof over their head (and for various other social factors present in this population). Also it seems like its not just those from lower-socioeconomic areas burning things down.https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/ny-molotov-nypd-brooklyn-lawyers-charged-20200531-nxamwxnjmzgvzmczi6z2ypcbzi-story.htmlAnd with talk about Antifa being part of this, and Antifa being declared a Terrorist Organization, that may break the backbone of this thing, and when they are rounded up (or dealt with otherwise) people may feel like the real threat is gone (true or not).Just my 2 cents.
