But, if you're analyzing lots of deals, 9% of ARV is probably going to be a lot quicker to compute than 10% of total costs (as adding up total buying, holding and selling costs typically takes a bit more time).Sorry to be pedantic, but the engineer/mathematician likes both accuracy and precision...  :-)
