Sometimes you gotta accept some risk and just take your licks when it doesn't go your way.

Banks are still licking their wounds from the recession.

It is also located east side san jose and the highschool nearby is James Lick High school.

I have a "regular" job, so I licked my wounds & let these 3 properties gain equity- it was literally money in = money out.  

My experience is limited, but I hope to contribute as is feasible as I take my licks in this arena.

I can testify at city council meetings, but the commissioner proposing this doesn't care 2 licks about what any landlord says, and at least 2 of the 4 other commissioners tend to vote exactly the same as this commissioner.

I am not afraid to lick some envelopes or hang signs or get my hands dirty in order to learn from someone!
