I'm just starting my rehab business in Dallas and looking for any recommendations for a Handyman - Do It All - Guy - as well as Electricians, Plumbers, Painters, and Roofers.

I have a construction background, we have 2 full time carpenters, my partner is a master electrician, so we always have a full electrical crew, and a couple of guys I work with at the fire department work part time doing general maintenance, painting, etc. building the infrastructure of the company and all of the equipment is the key to being able to deliver promptly, consistently, efficiently, and the ability to do so where your pricing is reasonable enough where you are referred often. 

I've had two licensed electricians take a look and they both said it's fine, safe, and compliant with city code due to grandfathering.

Im looking to do the same things, Although Im looking for an investor to front the purchase and rehab materials, I find and negotiate the deal, do the rehab with my laborers, Grant it I have an extensive network of other licensed contractors, my fathers a licensed plumber, and I have several friends who are licensed electricians.

Regarding the housing inspector - Maybe you should send an electrician to the property.  

Some cases you may be able to share but even my electricians and plumbers tell me not to go there as new laws on having separate utilities even for owner occupied.

I would like to get a recommendation for an electrician that does smaller jobs associated with rehabs in SFR.  

I have had a few tenants that are electricians or had family members that were plumbers and in those cases I'll use them and give them a credit. 

I've saved untold sums just on getting a good contractor refered, or a licensed plumber or electrician who can pull the necessary permits and get you past your occupancy permit inspection...Good luck, curt
