@Bill Cote mail is so saturated that no calls out of 136 isn't surprising.

As mostly everyone has already said, letters/postcards are extremely saturated in most markets.

The reason I say to steer away from it is because it is often over used and over saturated in many areas today and people have become less intrigued with the yellow formatting. 

From there, almost 80-90% of them did not agree with the offer amount as they felt the property was worth way more based on "online" estimates such as Zillow or Trulia, so I was left with 2-3 homeowners who would possibly consider my offer while also considering other offers because these were homeowners who also got letters from other investors (which I mentioned above regarding how because of the easiness of Direct Mail, the market of folks entering the REI business would saturate homeowners with mail).

Your situation is more saturation than a little dampness.

I’m in San Diego, CA one of the most saturated and competitive markets out there and I’ve been doing this for a little less than a month.

I was originally thinking direct mail but have heard it’s very saturated right now.
