You're also going to have a hard time (in my desirable markets/locations) finding someone to A) sell you a house at a significant discount and B) not getting ripped off or properly est/budgeting your repairs.What's far more likely to happen is you buy a house from "wholesaler".

The wall was real pine (and only one wall in the room) but the previous owner had ripped out some pieces over the fireplace and painted a mural.

If you're gonna rip out the oil, replace it with natural gas forced air(good) or ductless heat pump systems if the home is a candidate for that(much better.)

They see median home prices running $600K or so, and those are influenced by all these cool developers ripping out the old and put up brand new crazy-gorgeous glamorous homes -- literally million dollar homes in some cases.There are several houses in that area, very similar, same everything, that have been fixed up (in their current size and floor plan configuration) and flipped for around $285K or so.

Finally on Easter Sunday at 10:30pm when they were out in their garage revving a friends car engine they were working on, my gf had enough so I went out shirtless in my shorts and told them all I'd had enough and ripped the keys out of the car and threw them down the driveway.This behavior would be on and off over the course of a two years and finally I reached out the the PM who ended up being useless, and finally got a hold of the owner and convinced him to get rid of her and/or the tenants.
