Possibly opening a can of worms and/or they can make you take down drywall to check framing, insulation, wiring, etc. sometimes it’s easier with no permits, sometimes it’s stupid not to get them.

Being a 1950s house, the windows/doors were wooden, poorly insulated and single-paned.

Mostof the hard work has been done, new septic, heat, AC, electric, plumbing and insulation.

I don’t know exactly how bad it is and I want to get it inspected but my other concern is that the slab is not really far up from the ground and looking right under the siding you can see insulation. 

Theres puddle of water on attic and wet insulation.

Taxes, water/sewer, poor insulation (high heating costs), and low ARVs are the major challenges.
