Many people travel with the family dog.

I am a lover of interior design (think Amber Lewis and Architectural Digest) and could easily go overboard decorating and furnishing the place, which I'd like to avoid haha.  

(Unless we're talking about maybe a dog house)It sounds to me like you and your handyman have way different goals.

Do not let the tax tail wag the income dog here. 

After they are hired:Following the lease- if you don't allow pets and your neighbors say hey they have a dog and the PM says yes they asked.... 

I don't have any dogs in the fight but I have read a bunch from JD and @Shawn McCormick about the area and even without looking at data know that it won't work.

They can't consider the size of bedrooms, the kitchen layout, the view from the front window, or the five dogs barking all day long next door.

I just started house hacking and this is from my apartment lease that just ended.So in the 2 years I lived at my old apartment, my dog had probably 6 accidents (urine or vomit).

Also coffee shops like Bottoms Up Coffee are moving in and small microbreweries like brew dog and land grant.

But inherently in this syndication dog-eat-dog world, at the end of the cycle someone would be wiped out.See this is the reason I personally stayed away from commercial RE, incl. multi family.
