The Atlanta and Georgia REIA are great organizations you can join to network with different players and learn multiple facets of real estate.

I am assuming that he has more assets at risk.I agree with @Joel Owens you need to make it very clear the role of each player and the different exit choices.

Turn off the tv, fill your phone or player with info instead of beats and learn, learn, learn!

The on-the-job experience you will gain as a Property Manager in a commercial brokerage is invaluable but you will unlikely gain the knowledge you will need to become a key player in the Senior Management team with out a sound knowledge of Real Estate Finance and other related facets.

Louis,The big value add players refi (if they are using a variable rate loan) or obtain a supplemental loan (if they have a nice fixed rate in play) to pull out cash as soon as the property renovations are completed.

In the Raleigh area, the real estate term "Wholesale" does not mean buy or work with volume players or volume producers.

We don't sell education products or guru courses.I personally offer coaching to new players, but folks who are just looking to learn more and network with other investors are welcome and do find value in what we offer.

You want to be on the top of their mind as a "player" in your market, a person that is active and buys and sells homes all the time.  

You will be stronger as a player if they don't know you are doing extra inspections, but you will assume a bit more risk.
