Somehow, my cousin is convinced that if something worse were to happen to his parents (they are 90 and 88 yrs old with increasingly challenging health issues), and they would to be cared for in a nursing home, that the state of NJ would step in and claim all the assets to "pay" for their care.  

Nowadays, most accounting is conducted online, even for local practitioners.

I have two elderly tenants, both of whom may need prolonged hospitalizations and/or nursing home placement this year.  

Your average medical assistant, nurse, or nursing assistant with a child places an outsized value on ceramic tile flooring in their home.

But, please don't dive into one of the most intensive "feet on the ground" parts of real estate investing -- in one of the most difficult markets in the country (if you can believe all the other writer-practitioners on comparative wholesale markets) -- if what you really want is passive investing.I wish you well, Jasmine!
