During my tenure, I've had property management oversight of my Dallas area multifamily portfolio, while assisting with acquisitions and dispositions of assets as well.Prior to jumping into real estate investing full-time, I spent over a decade at Seagate Technology where I held senior leadership roles in Marketing, Product Line Management and Sales.In addition to being a licensed real estate broker in Colorado, I have a degree in Marketing from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Leadership recently changed hands and I don't see any upcoming meetings, but the ones I attended were good and a little closer to you. 

Those veterans that, unfortunately, fall into the trap of thinking it's normal for 30%+ of one's income to go towards car payments while on active duty (where this is perfectly normal), generally cannot qualify for mortgages until they realize that this is only normal in the military where you don't have to pay for housing, food, etc.I could do an entire rant on how/why the military is doing a disservice to the troops by allowing this irresponsible car behavior to be normalized among 18-21 year olds (& in far too many cases their junior to mid-level NCO leadership), but that wouldn't be helpful to OP.

They are on the bottom of the totem pole for most Management companies.

As a newer member to this forum, I welcome your comments of what works for you knowing that changes in leadership are eminent.As an investor working part time due to my care taking responsibilities, I read and view the markets across the country as a motivator for me to do more of what I'm doing, rather than less.

Most importantly, the quality of the information presented and the experience level of the other attendees and the leadership of the group.  

When applying them, readers can find themselves having more focus and better leadership/delegation skills.
