When I walk through a place, I don't see how it looks but what it could look like based on the type of work I am capable of.I personally like homes from the 50s (good thick hardwood often hidden under a bad carpet) but avoid late 60s and 70s (popcorn ceiling = asbestos) and often cheaper construction grade.Overall, I found that flipping is a good way to turn your free time into equity/money and a great learning experience but it is hard work and definitely not for everyone.

Anything from a few square feet of drywall to entire walls, flooring, fixtures, and ceiling will need to be treated and or discarded.

On the other hand you're right about this stuff being viewed mostly on phones rather than 27" monitors.One of the main benefits I see from a DSLR besides extra wide angle would be using flash bounce off the ceiling, perhaps multiple flash using slaves.

This was an over-under duplex in Munhall after I stripped the wallpaper and the green plastic film the former owners had superglued to the ceiling to try to keep the plaster together.

Had framing crews in on Labor day to frame ceiling in 6 and added additional framing in 2.While demoing wall in 3 for opening, GC discovered gas pipe in wall.

The flip is pretty minor, list of what is needed is: paint, floors, carpet, vanities in 2 bathrooms, replace counter tops with granite, appliance package, replace all ceiling fans, lights and fixtures, replace all outlets.
