There may be another's buyer's market on the horizon in June/July from investors who were over-leveraged during this crisis, you may be able to get a good deal then.

If you have a five year horizon, purchasing stocks is a tremendous opportunity.Most of us are concerned with real estate. 

A lot of syndicators operate on a fairly short investment horizon (3-5 yrs) so investors that are looking for the set and forget and grow money for 10-15 years may not be interested in syndications.  

However, if you're looking at a 3, 5 or 10 year time horizon I think being able to take advantage of a pullback like this that comes along very infrequently will provide much greater long term value than a savings account.

I was in the middle of acquiring my first rental property but I have since backed out of that considering the financial landscape I see on the horizon. 

Personally with a two year time horizon I would put about half of it into a broad market index just for fun.

Control what I can control and make my decisions based on the long-term horizon.
