Does anyone know of any auto water shutoff valve or similar way to monitor for freezing pipes? 

I've been reading that experts recommend freezing your credit with each of the credit reporting agencies as a better defense (compared to credit monitoring) against the Equifax and other data breaches.

But I wouldnt reccomend it for someone who isnt going to be there to monitor it, or if you dont have a really good PM who knows the area and is willing to do it.

You just have to monitor it each month and keep an eye on things but it's very little effort.

@Matthew Keeney I would talk to a few of the people who are 'plan providers' that will chime in here (some of them monitor from their work emails so might not chime in until Monday or so).

There are usually some good, local investors that monitor those forums.

BP has give their parents a 2nd account to monitor the other account so they block access, see chats, etc.

@Jon Latorre I don't think the strategy will "kill demand" and based upon my experience and others on this thread, it can work with some homework, research and monitoring. 

I like getting them when others reply but I am smart enough on most days to know when I replied... lol Michael,The emails arrive because you have the topic selected for "monitoring".
