Our slab guy didn't install a ground rod in the slab, so we had to ground it outside the slab and it took some discussions between them.Also in 2015 a LOT of electrical codes changed, we've run into this issue on several projects the last few weeks where even though our permits were pulled in 2014 and technically the new codes shouldn't be enforced, the inspectors are enforcing them anyways, so some other nitpicky stuff like installing plastic wire holders instead of using staples and having to mount sconce and pendant lights to the structure instead of leaving wires in the walls had to be addressed.

I remember a staple of discussions around the dinner table was the inevitable Baltimore/DC comparison (when DC was the murder capital of the US during Marion Barry's tenure as mayor and Baltimore was pretty far up there in violent crime).

If the floors are covered with carpet gunk and staples paint etc, I will usually just put down laminate.

For example, on a small scale I could buy a $500 visa debit gift card with a pin (at office max or staples using a credit card that gives 5% cash back to business owners and then pay contractor with gift card (of course this would be costly because it cost around $7 per $500 and the contractor would probably be annoyed getting $50,000 or what not in $500 gift cards).

Essentially you're comparing two areas with major sports arenas (Dwtn has Staples Center and Inglewood has the possible arrival of a new NFL team).
