Replacement Cost (RC) coverage allows you to recoup the depreciation that is initially levied against the claim settlement.

Insurance is cheap when you own it and it's a few years old, less sales tax and excise tax, and you're not worried about parking lot scratches and bumps.

He didn't even have enough cash to pay the excise tax or escrow, so we paid that -and took a credit against the balance!  

I think (getting licensed to) providing expert advice to people that have the problem of "too much money" will remain a very solid skill for as long as progressive taxes will be levied to the "rich".
