Mexico has a lot of great architects and the quality of the construction in the higher-end of the market (in which foreigners and upper middle-class and wealthy Mexicans buy) is very good.

This is definitely one of the best ways to build wealth, I wish I had put more into this rather than stocks at an earlier age. 

Coastal CA with the Bay Area, LA or San Diego will hold its value and it doesn't take too many properties to build long term wealth. I

I've always purchased and I have always been told by family and friends "it's always better to purchase"...buying builds wealth...I just did it without question. 3 homes bought and sold later and I'm scratching my head because I've always sold my homes for way more than I bought but still never seem to come out better.Thank goodness I also put money into investments.
