My wife and I had a bit of a 'culture shock' when we went from a high rise in River North to our first investment property in Irving Park...but we eventually grew to really love Irving Park and found a ton of great local restaurants, etc.  

The best thing you can do is reach out to brokerages and interview to get a glimpse into fees, expectations, and most importantly, culture.

Getting started was at least half the battle, take a second and celebrate starting.It’s like her comedian that says he gets asked all the time by strangers where they should eat.

My wife wants Celebration at all costs so I've got my eye on something there at a great price that needs some work in every room. 

I do my best to limit my exposure to this wild west style lawsuit culture we have.I am starting to flip properties but, for the last few years I have purchased rentals to hold.

We have passed the tipping point with the cultural perception and adoption of the model.

Keep trying to save and the day you land your first job celebrate by using your savings to buy an investment property.
