You are granting access to money and the ability to alter the books to conceal the crime.  

Statistically, civilian concealed handgun carriers are even less likely to commit/be charged of crimes than police officers.

Being in Florida I have my concealed weapons permit and carry often, certainly when dealing with tenants. 

Its presence may exist without the knowledge of the structure owner and may be concealed from the untrained observer.

You have to prove the owner knew about the problem and concealed it.

I don't know which was worse, the lack of reliability of the landlord reference or the studied nature of the mother and daughter's efforts to conceal their true landlord relationship. 

I'm glad Illinois lets me conceal carry, to say the least.  

I am selling the house and don't care about dings or scratches anyway, and certainly will have ample opportunity to see it anyway, during all these open houses;...So you have never seen a tenant conceal damage by hanging a picture, or placing a sofa or other large piece of furniture, over the damaged area(s)?  

The knife can be concealed and pick you apart.
