For a 2/1, I received these quotes with permits 14k electric,  8k furnace/duct, 2k central air, 2.5k floors sanding/ synteko, 10k bath,  12k kitchen, $30/$50 sheet of drywall,  3k paint,  roof was about 7k, demo 3k, concrete demo/new $12 s/f, windows $250/$400 depends on brand, then GC fees,  etc. 

Next property was an unexpected $5,500 for a furnace and duct work.

All interiors have the same paint color scheme.

You might find that there are restrictions you can't live with like prohibitions on parking a camper, boat or commercial vehicle - and even the colors you can paint your doors or shutters.Be sure to ask whether there are any pending lawsuits against the condo association or any special assessments in existence now or anticipated in the future.You shou;d also request a certificate of good standing from the condo association, meaning that the seller doesn't have any outstanding fines or fees. 

The reason most houses built today have forced hot air is because you can use the same ducts for air conditioning so it normally ends up cheaper.

I didn't, but you could add a band of mosaic to add some color.

Or, I thought about just throwing up some lighter shutters & painting the stucco a light color. 

This is good.But there is probably an old octopus duct arrangement down there in that basement with asbestos wrapped ducts running throughout the building.

I have found that using the color palettes from the paint companies is 10 times better than trying to choose paint colors individually.
