Basically a wide strip of the wall, spanning from the back of kitchen cabinet, to the 4' wide shower in the adjacent bathroom, all the way to the stack has to be opened up to replace the pipe.Secondly, if I replace my pipe, and knowing my neighbor's is also "near death", I can't honestly be happy with myself if I didn't replace his, or at least give him access to replace his at the same time.

If in between point A and B there is a branched fitting, like a WYE or a TEE, the liner would span across and block that branch, and they have to come from the branch and cut a hole back through the main.

Tuesday Afternoon Update:Okay here is where we stand on this property as of this point:$1346.60 in House , septic and Wood destroying insects inspections and Septic tank pumping.The goodthe house is still standingthe house is still standing.the Foundation is good.I get to use a bobcat in the back yard to fix drainage issuesThe Opportunitiesthe roof has to be replaced - joythe Master bathroom may need to be completely re-framed due to wood rot by waterComplete new HVAC systemthere are cast iron pipes installed in this house and are 10 years past their life span maybe...Oh yeah, there are termites.
