HD is 6 weeks out which may be the case for all suppliers, but maybe someone else is cheaper for the same quality.  

A major supplier here in the midwest called Menards markets complete house packages (materials only). 

My cabinet supplier had some neat software that let him design my kitchen in a simple 2D top view layout and then generate a 3D model.

@Mike Bisson I see your point, in my business and life I have not found that working people over and trying to squeeze every penny or ounce of blood from customers, employees, suppliers is usually not a good idea in the long run. 

You don't have to coordinate with your contractor, the supplier, and the wholesaler.

GC/Owner gives me phone number of their preferred supplier, I make up material lists and order accordingly, supply house delivers to job site directly and GC/Owner pays upon delivery.

But if you have a supplier already that you get your materials from, you can certainly supply your own and pay for labor only.

That means one of two things, either the supplier royally screwed up and his contractor said nothing or the tiles he ordered were stolen from him.
