The big thing is you can't have your cake and eat it too.You truly do need to run the numbers to see which is more beneficial.If you want to deduct expenses on Schedule C, then you need to include the income on Schedule C.If you want to choose favorable treatment, I'd recommend that you deduct it on Schedule A.
