The politics does seem worrisome, but honestly things are always more dramatic on CNN, Fox, etc.

Right now, supply and demand rules and the reason for dramatic housing price increases are typically because of a housing shortage coupled with very high demand.

So for 85 calls that's probably 5000 or more letters....Yes, in fact, this varies - pretty dramatically - in different areas of the country (send 1,000 letters in LA and prepare for maybe 3 calls, certainly not 10).  

Hitting prospects consistently with this same message will likely get you results, but I believe your response and conversions will improve dramatically by using different kinds of mail pieces with the same, but 'different' message.
