This house has a lot of sharp lines and a few plants will 'soften' the look just a bit.The wrought iron handrails tend to fade into the background- I would replace them with thicker wooden handrails for a bolder statement and paint them to match the trim.

@Alissa Collins@Stacey Moskwa  I second Alissa in her recommendation of Rare Bird.you will meet some nice folks there... and the guys that run it are very sharp and they are helpful and free with their time from what I can see.There is also some informal BP meetups that take place.. you have the East side VS the west side...
