Depends on the person but typically at the root, it's fear.

Will we eventually establish roots to either permanently live someplace else or become snow birds?

Or is it a sign that people may intend to "put down roots and buy" rather than rent.- What about Dormont / Castle Shannon?

@Joshua Espejo It's not at all unusual to have roots growing in to the sewer lines which generally is not a big deal.

The root cause of the foundation problems is possibly the expansive clay soil.

Once the roots are there, then you need to really get clear on the exact type and location of property.

But if you are having a hard time renting right now I would look at some of the those root causes.
