I am leaning towards selling now and renting then eventually reinvesting some of the money in another house in Oregon or Washington and the rest in index funds, but I wanted to get some other people's opinions.

Not sure what year they used as their =100 baseline, but the takeaway for me is the country to country comparison.Here Canadian Teranet data (similar to the US Case-Shiller index using matched-pair sales of single family homes) shows house prices have risen at a much faster rate than Canadian per-capita GDP, per-capita income, rents, or inflation.

It says that the Case/Shiller housing price index is finally showing the first monthly increase in house price data, after 7 months of decline.
