I recently got a HELOC for my home...purchased it before my marriage and it is only in my name...with a credit score probably a bit lower than your g/f's and it was approved.They assess the property value by requiring an assessment...just like if you were purchasing or refi'ing the property.

It is the perfect marriage of Estimating, Scheduling, Vendor Mgmt, Client Mgmt, Team Mgmt (Time Tracking w/ GPS support), etc. 

Example 1 this past weekend we were at a marriage retreat and the tenant called me twice in 5 minutes and then called my husband who answered in the middle of the conference.

NOPE 500k.. they super size it.. there is no conservative nature in 90% of these folks and that's why you have these folks in financial straights many times .. needing credit repair .. failed marriages etc etc.the inability to control their personal financing.. they should all be listening to Ramsey.Investors now are a different class completely.. you cant in todays day and age be an investor with only a few grand to buy a home like a homeowner can.

LOLSeriously, real estate investing was my long term dream, and recently my fiancee (I divorced 5 years ago after 28 years of what I was thinking was a perfect marriage, and had to reinvent myself from scratch - you got the picture!)

o wait, do those things go out the door after marriage???
