There are some good people in business, but there are also nasty, hateful people that will cut your throat for few bucks.

I'm aware this bucks the trend of investing in OH, FL, etc. but I think (and hope) positive cash-flowing deals can be found with the right connections. 

Make sure you use a company to process the payments this usually costs about 5 bucks a month in my area. 

It may add a few bucks to your cleaning fee- but since the guest pays for the clean it becomes a pass through fee.

Are you covering costs/making a buck right now?

I get it everybody has to make a buck , but I didnt hire the buyers agent , what ever they want to charge THEIR customer is fine with me , but I wasnt paying it .  2.5% sounds like a low number until you put it into real numbers on a $800k sale and you see it as  $20,000 . 

I'm keeping a couple free checking business accounts; I'm a self employed web developer so that has its account and then the property investing, the other account.Yeah, fees suck and I had a great blowup with my local bank where they charged me 28 bucks because they couldn't get their deposit dates straight.

For example, using the roof analogy, a 1000 sq ft roof in my area (Milwaukee, WI) would cost about $8500.
