My one son was arrested for assaulting the other (who was drunk and not supposed to bring 10 delinquents to the property).The state wouldn't have made an arrest if they weren't related and household members,  the victim would have to press charges.

Whether you are at fault or not you need to appear in court, otherwise they can issue a bench warrant for your arrest.So if I were in your shoes I would1) Contact a probate attorney and let them know your situation.
