Not trying to sound fool hardy, but based on the situation I'm currently in and the wealth equation I used (current pay and number of hours worked minus taxes), I'd need to live two lifetimes before I could even fanthom my goal.I strongly feel like a job is not for me, that my heart is screaming to go into business and build a scalable asset.

The pension issue in CA is a big thing too .One recent article on that:http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/07/30/steve-westly...I am a CA native and there are many great things about the state, but I am pretty worried about how things are going in CA.

This is of course irrelevant by the time you retire if you have all you will ever need.I do not need all the money I just hate to see it under utilised based on how hard I worked to earn it.
