I'll be honest the new building/development world is extremely tough to get into and unless you are planning to do it at scale or have a super unique way to find land/deals the risk usually isn't worth the reward. 

Maybe a partnership works.Risk & Reward: Limited liability is nice, but real estate still has bumps.

With diligence and patience, you can build a successful portfolio in this rewarding endeavor.

You need to be on point and most of the work is not rewarding work.

But it can also be incredibly rewarding if your passion aligns with helping others navigate their financial lives.Given your background and interest in personal finance, you're already ahead in some ways.

Your best market, best returns, best risk/reward as a first time investor is where you live and your own housing.  

Anglers and buyers need to remain alert and the more time the bait is in the water (at the right place) the higher chances of bringing home a delicious reward.
