When a property manager doesn't provide me with transparency, it's a red flag that they're trying to hide something from me.

It is not unheard of that tenants with poor or bad credit or a history of evictions, collections, judgements or late pays will hide behind the one with a higher credit score or who does not have these on their record.

They just hide their markups by not sharing actual invoices and only sending their bill, or getting kickbacks from vendors the owner doesn't see, etc.In the end, owners usually get what they pay for - and deserve.

My realtor who did the end of lease walk thru for the previous tenant and walk thru with the current tenant did not catch that as it hides in the grass.
