My wife and I earn over $350k a year in our jobs and all of that is now going to pay down debt.We have the option to increase our HELOC to unlock some more capital which I'm considering doing to try and get a good return on my money and pay down the debt faster, but given past experiences I'm not convinced it won't end up with more debt.What would you do at this point?

**************************************************************************Insurance premiums of American homeowners rose last year, with rates increasing by more than 20 percent in six states, according to a recent report from S&P Global.In 2024, insurers raised rates by 10.4 percent as of Dec. 27, which followed a 12.7 percent hike in the previous year, according to the Jan. 21 report from the company.In total, 33 states saw premiums climb by double digits last year, with the largest spike seen in Nebraska at 22.7 percent.

I just got a notice from the MD department of assessments & taxation that the value of my property will increase from 120k to 261k , spread out over 3 years equally.This is a ridiculous increase of 118%.
