Like anything in life- some guests are fantastic people and renew my faith in the STR system as well as humanity, some seem like they are from another planet and have insane expectations.Did you work with any real estate professionals (agents, lenders, etc.) that you'd recommend to others?

Most deals that have some faith of cash flow require HEAVY rehab.

If they stop paying and you have to sue, it will be helpful if you can demonstrate that you have been making good faith efforts to find a new tenant even though this should not be your responsibility. 

I've got a nice full time job at the moment which I've been plugging away at for 13 years, but I'm ready to be self-employed and take that leap of faith.

We are like friends now, and I managed to restore faith in strangers for these folks who had been treated so poorly by their family but so respectfully by a complete stranger.

If you've not seen how a team handles an easier deal you're putting a lot of blind faith into a team that's going to have to handle a deal where there will likely be hiccups. 

I foolishly trusted a property manager and gave him my faith undeservingly since I was out of town.
