The only Sherriff's sales I have attended had an 10-day Upset Bid rule - 10 days allowed after a highest bid for another higher bid to be entered, thereby starting another 10-day upset period.

Actually I've been looking in my market which is Connecticut upset New York and the condos that are 2/2  or  more or less in the same price very little difference of any .

You would not want to upset possible tenants and/or only attract those who are desperate for a place and willing to settle for an almost 2 bedroom even though they really do need two bedrooms.However, if you were to add a door to the den, then technically you could advertise it as a 2-1.

After reading up on this, it feels like fraud and illegal The proposer said that assigning the bid for cash was not illegal, but offering cash to not upset the bid was the only illegal issue.
