Hi Tiffani, I lived in SE Alabama for several years, and have family in Birmingham.

We are from SE Georgia (Savannah and Atlanta), so we know both those areas fairly well, but don't feel that either will give us the returns we are looking for.  

So it will be federal and state based on your bracket, and then about 15.3% SE tax. 

There's not a threshold of when to "stop" putting money away per se.
