Hunter Thompson's book on raising capital is great as well, and focuses more on the up front aspect of building investor relationships and interest. 

@Spencer Gray Xenia has a small town feel, but it's big enough to have the needed conveniences (Walmart, Kroger, etc). 

One of the top thought leaders in this space specifically is Hunter Thompson.
