Your daughter is lucky to have a dad who can do this kind of thing for her.

My daughter & 2 roommates rented a house in Dallas.

I never meet the rest of his family but he has a young 5-6 yr old or so son with him when he looks at the house and they seem good - I'm told his 19yo daughter will live with him until she gets on her feet and gets on her own (was led to believe it would be short term) - then another young 10yr old or so boy and his tenants newlywed wife (he was getting remarried in his 40's).So fast foward to now - I had good relationships with my neighbors - asked them to look out for me and they knew I took good care of my house. 

Having an adult son or daughter move back in after college or having your mother in law move in when she is old would be permissible, even if they agreed to pay you. 

My daughter used to go to a family care center and the owner is interested in renting our place for a year while her house is being extended/remodeled.

I own (my daughter owns 2%) a holding company LLC taxed as a partnership. 

I have a husband and two young daughters.

We currently have $100k equity in an up and coming part of town (read fast growth, but still sketchy) where my wife and I live with our 1 year old daughter. 

They will without hesitation move in their expectant daughter soon to be followed by the dead beat X-con boyfriend.
