I personally would much rather be responsible for mine and my families well being than the government, but again that is my personnel opinion, and I can also understand everyone elses view point as well.I have many friends who are small business owners who's lives have been changed instantaneously in a week, some even loosing up to 75% of profit within a week or two, and I worry for their well being and their families.I look at the current statistics and many times it also just does not make sense to me when compared to past viruses or other issues, but consider what if we lift the lock down too soon and it becomes catastrophic.

@Nikki Closser There were two cities in California that did the same thing and a group of landlords sent the city a letter from a lawyer stating they would sue the city for loss of rents if they did not lift the ban.

Basically a new face lift as it was built in 1910 and has not had any major updates completed.Our initial thought was to convert this property into a two family to generate rental income but the cost of renovations in NYC is making this option extremely difficult in regards to qualifying for the financing.

There are other assisted living programs which help seniors alter their homes (stair lifts, wheel chair ramps, etc) so they may remain in them longer.In Manitoba, you have Manitoba Housing which provides similar subsidized housing programmes (though, if I recall, MB Housing owns their own buildings ... some provinces - NB for one - no longer do that, but provide coupons to subsidize housing with private landlords).
