am not sure you owe them a reason fo rnot renting to them; but you can always give a 'genuine' reason....like, you changed your mind of the renting criteria......Happy investing!

Plus they have to provide you with a genuine receipt of the repair and it must be on an actual company invoice that did the job.

Looking at this from a business standpoint, I would prefer that tenants in my properties not have lethal weapons at their disposal because they are inherently dangerous.Life is complicated and I genuinely appreciate that there are widely divergent views on this issue.

Once you have explained that, you thank them for their input and genuine concern, you would also ask that they restrict any negative comments they have, because it takes away the joy and excitement of this new venture.

I'd like to develop written criteria that allows me to both reject, at my discretion, tenants with red flags, and accept on a case-by-case basis others who might have similar red flags but  after interviewing/checking with references might appear to be genuinely attempting to get their life back on track.
