Many greenhouse businesses have strong business models, with plants that do well in our climate zones.

(I wouldn't waste money feathering the slope on the side or the back side)Also,  do not plant trees within. 15-20 feet of the mound,  the roots will travel to the water and cause maintenance problems down the road.The sand mounds that I have owned or rented do not require any special maintenance, other than septic tank pumping every 3 years.

@Michael Plante Thank you for this suggestion the reason I was going the route of handyman is because these companies were booked so far out.

Such as a high water-table, or ground that doesn't perk very well, or a big old Maple tree planted right smack over the field lines.

My advice: plant a tree every year.

They have the construction of the new LNG plant scheduled to start, and I believe an Arkansas based steel company is going to invest in the port as well, and I am sure many other ventures are going on there too. 

I did a lot of research zoned in on 3 cities then I travelled to all 3 cities and planted my roots in NC..

As far as when to start your first rehab: best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago.
