This allows the tenants upstairs 2 hours (in theory) to find a way to get out if they leave the candles burning on the first floor. 

Even if it meant burning the candle at both ends for a year or two in order to afford a place on my own.  

Microwaving will cause the same effects as boiling, grilling, heating over a candle, etc.EDIT:  Also worth noting that elevated carcinogen levels in charred/burned food are well established.  

We do not wear fragrances, such as perfume or cologne.

After learning about basic meditation yesterday I got right to it today meditating in front of a candle for 15 mins.

If all totally goes to hell: we have a house, candles, wood stove, wood, food, and well for water.Others may not be able to put that all together, but they can buy some extra canned goods or pasta or cereal or rice, etc..I also have some concerns that food prices will go sky high.

I eventually got them out of my house by sprinkling the floor with borax and vacuuming, putting a candle in soapy water and placing it on the floor after lighting (yea, it actually works) and washing everything.  

Even seemingly insignificant things like adding fresh flowers to a table and candles to a bathroom can make a space feel homey and inviting, which can help potential buyers connect with the space on a deeper level.

My gut tells me the cash flow gain over 5 years of rising MFH rents won't hold a candle to 150K a year (compounding each year too so really more each year) worth of capital gains via appreciation I get with SFH. 

Burn the candle at both ends and keep your full time job while becoming an investor.
