The problem with this is that first, I would rather not sell in this market and second, I like property A and plan to turn it into a part time vacation home at some point in the future and maybe even turn it back into our primary residence once the kids are grown and out of the house.Can anyone think of a way to achieve these objectives without selling property A?

I have not checked into it yet, but I believe the city declared it unsafe to enter because vegetation has grown up all around the entrances.

My issue is that I've spent years piling money into 401ks etc and there's a decent size pile of cash there now that is difficult to invest in real estate and has really not grown other than through my contributions as the stock market has seriously underperformed for most of my investing life.
