You cannot put a pool on public property or private property that you do not own without permission.

While they are permissible by zoning and building code, there has been a grand total of ZERO granted development permits). 

There are structures that can legally avoid this issue, and there is additionally the possibility that your lender would give you permission to make the transfer.

If you want to wholesale, we used to not allow it at all but I believe that has changed - you still have to get special permission from the state broker for that.

Is it legally permissible as 5 units, etc?

In my mind, that brings up the question of zoning and permissible uses of the property.

Interesting, I'd see it as a huge risk and wouldn't see how it would help to get financing on it since the lot as described is a parcel of land included with the purchase of the house infront of it without any permission ot build on; if its zoned residential then how can it be used separately for residence without variance?

Hi @Eric Abel, I looked into this but an attorney told me that it is illegal unless they give you permission first.

It is always nice to have a relative or friend you can trust to drop by your properties and maybe even give them permission to do inspections inside no less than one time per year because management companies don't have the ability to check properties as much as necessary.
