The blockage is so severe that this is going to be a several thousand dollar repair.

Mine has a clause that reads: "Tenant shall be charged for repair of drain blockages or stoppages, unless caused by defective plumbing parts or tree roots invading sewer lines."

Have the licensed plumber that was initially called for this issue provide you with a report of the items found as the cause of the blockage and the recommendations, preferably you should also have photos of the items causing the blockage.

Hi All,I have a property under contract in Pittsburgh that has a blockage 85 feet down the sewer line so the plumbers are unable to confirm whether the line is free of damage beyond that point.

I'm assuming the blockage is far enough down that you can't trace it to a single unit.

Resulting clogs or blockages to all or part of the water system may be very difficult to remove.Refuge for many woodland creatures.

For additional context:There doesn't seem to be an immediate problem with sewer blockage.
