But if you want to grown to some really large amounts and make $500k, $1 million, then I think a big name brokerage adds a lot of value, as well as serving a diverse set of clientele.

If the trench is for catchment only, and not diversion of water, it will need to be massive, and may look more like a pond when full... but if you plant it right (native wetland plants) you should be able to handle huge amounts of water.

The market isn't going to change depending on what you want to do, you've got to be diverse and open minded enough to make money in any market.
